My First Game Jam --> Part 2
Today I pushed some Buttons
Today I started by doing yesterdays post and me struggling to get my project to work online. After a while of trying to get my game up I decided It'd be better to spend my time actually making the game. So I went back to work, after Killing some zombies....
I threw proper godot workflow out the window with this project. Not on purpose I just can not quite get the hang of it. I will focus more on that later as I want to see how much I know with this project. As you can see below all my logic is in the top most node, making it easier to trade information. But this also clutters up the script and is not modular nor easy to scale.
I Made A Lock
For this project Im using pre rendered graphics. That is because I feel more confident in my modeling abilities compares to drawing line arts. I have even used blender to make buttons for my projects, but I have looked into graphic design and do use inkscape frome time to time but I dont yet feel very confident with that program/workflow. I love 3d, I like blender and making objects and shader graphs.
The sprite in game will be 128x128
To Do:
- Give Iron bar all the logic ore has
- learn how to build to web
- give it some style?
- Add start menu <could make it a lil cooler>
- anything else?
Done:
- Made iron ore, iron bar and the lock sprites <modelled, shaded and renderd>
- made a unlocking animation for the lock <not yet rendered>
- Gave functionality to a bunch of logic that I coded <with a lil help from the in editor searcher <3 >
- Gave it a primary currency witch is obtained by selling good
