Adventure
I wanted to focus on game creation and not spend the entire time trying to make art. Im glad I chose this as I learned and experimented more than I usually do.
I need to figure out my file system as my projects seem o be growing exponentially. For now, I am using a simple structure Scenes, Scripts, imports, ect with each file holding the appropriate files/folders (as seen below). I would like to use a structure i heard o from some unreal developers where every object has its own folder with its dependencies however, that seems complicated and better suited for massive projects.
One thing I did to experiment was played around with audio nodes. I have not used them that much yet and this project helped pop my audio cherry. I added a global scene called AUDIO which plays the background music, up until now I was writing a small script to lop the sound this is when i learned about the reimport "loop" parameter. I created a function to change the pitch based on a random number chosen on ready and at the end of a level. To me, this made the looping track a little more interactive and less repetitive
There are plenty of bugs and things that are broken but that is ok. I am focused on how much works and how much I got done (mostly on my own). every project I learn more and get more comfy with the Godot editor and gdscript
Have a good one <3
